Air-cushioned self-supporting construction with integrated gas storage tank.

The exterior and the interior membrane are hermetically sealed to the rim of the tank (digester or secondary tank) by stainless steel or metal screws.

A radial air blower keeps the pressure inside the exterior membrane as well as the air-cushioned roof at a constant level in order to ensure protection against external environmental damage (rain, snow, wind).

The radial air blower and the exterior membrane are connected by a plastic hose.

The exterior and the interior membrane are hermetically sealed to the rim of the tank (digester or secondary tank) by stainless steel or metal screws.

A radial air blower keeps the pressure inside the exterior membrane as well as the air-cushioned roof at a constant level in order to ensure protection against external environmental damage (rain, snow, wind).

The radial air blower and the exterior membrane are connected by a plastic hose.

The interior membrane, together with the exterior membrane, is fixed hermetically to the anchor ring situated on the rim of the tank. The interior membrane is smaller than the exterior membrane. This ensures a constant air cushion between the two foil layers, which is needed to distend the exterior membrane and to ensure heat insulation at the same time.

There is a stainless steel support post in the middle of the digester, which is about a meter higher than the digester’s wall. Reinforced straps stretched from the top of the post - arranged in the form of a star - run in a distance of about 0,80 meters from each other to the sides of the tank.
There is a net is stretched above the strap-construction in order to support the interior membrane from underneath in case of low or no gas pressure. At the same time, the aerob desulphurizing bacteria can settle on the surface of net. In case of a diameter of 18 meters, for example, a settling surface of about 100 m2 is created.

Dimensions:

According to customer needs, 12 m – 32 m tank diameters.

Structure:

Internal membrane: polyester fabrics with PVC PU surface treatment on both sides.
External membrane: polyester fabrics with a highly UV-resistant varnished PVC surface.
Difficult to ignite: According to DIN 4102 - B1.

Radial insufflator with connecting cable and pressure regulator safety valve. (Adjustable between 40 – 300 Pascal).

Stainless steel strap iron (Material: 1.4571) bent to the appropriate diameter and hermetically sealed to the anchor ring of the digester.
 
Mechanic gas level meter with measuring tube and magnet, with 3 magnet switches, and mounting of connector points. Non-electric connection and control.

Mechanic overpressure and low pressure equalizing tank with liquid connected directly to the tank (digester). Security rim connecting point. Blow down volume by arrangement. Blow down tube. Material: 1.4571.  Control configuration is done by the customer. Standard pressure setting: 5-mbar overpressure and 2-mbar depression.

Securing of mechanic overpressure- and depression and mechanic gas level measuring do not substitute for extra depression control or the securing of decompression.   

We do not guarantee for the statics, especially not for the capacity and the tank’s overall stability, since our service does not include overall statics calculation for the whole tank.

The customer has to provide the following conditions at the construction site:

  • Power supply next to the construction site,
  • Easy access for the crane around the tank regardless of weather conditions,
  • Empty and clean tank,
  • 5 m high, mobile, easily assembleable scaffold inside the tank,
  • Flanged tube for the  fixing of the anti-overpressure and depression security,
  • Horizontal crown of the tank,
  • There cannot be ironwork around the crown in the system shaft at least 10 cm deep in the ground.
